Any innovations related to electrical engineering major in power, i need it for my seminar. tnx!?

help me please! new and old ideas that is related to electrical engineering that is not yet known to most people. thanks

Answer:
Wind Turbines. Due to the variable speed of the wind giving a variable frequency output of the generator, you cannot supply straight onto the National Grid because that is a synchronised 50Hz system. So you have to convert variable frequency AC into DC, and then convert it back to 50Hz AC to supply the grid. This unit is called an invertor (or inverter) and is a relatively new piece of technology.. Hope you have fun researching it, and good luck with the seminar.
