Are cellphone towers safe?

A cellphone company would like to lease my parents' land and build a cellphone tower on it. My parents are not going to live near the tower, but they might have to get close to it once a week to work on the land. Are cellphone towers as hazardous as high-voltage transmission towers?

Answer:
cellphone towers emit no harmful radiation, electromagnetical waves or any sorts, unless at VERY short range (2 meters tops) aslong as there is a fence around the towers its as safe as can be.
Don't worry about cellphone towers. Enjoy the rent. High voltage is way more dangerous. It has been found that on farms spraying pesticides near HV lines rips the molecules up if they pass near the wire. Charged and highly reactive organic fragments travel downwind and latch onto anything that breaths it in.
