Are there any places that can make a plug-in electric car from a regular gasoline-powered car?

Or is the only way to just buy a plug-in electric car?

Answer:
If you take a Prius you can convert it to plug in, but the Prius starts out as a hybrid. I'm not sure of any that will take an internal combustion engine car and convert it.

The place to look is CalCars.

It's a group pushing for car manufacturers to start making plug ins and they have links and examples on their site.
