Government policies have no impact on global warming, as global warming, and cooling, are naturally occurring phenomena, caused by long period solar cycles and earth orbital mechanics.
My mom used to work for a car company for fifteen years and said that the government puts a high bill, tax, or something on the hybrid cars that makes them so unaffordable for people like me. That's one thing I know. She also told me about fuel-celled cars about 1-2 years before they ever came out. I never told anybody of course because I'd probably be sued by the company for revealing their secret.
