What are some of the attributes or qualities that a staff should have,and why?

Loyalty: if they speak unkindly of their previous employer during an interview, you could be next.
Reliability: if they can't show up to their job on time and when they are supposed to, why bother hiring them.
Respectful: of themselves (you can guess by the way they dress, etc.) means respect for others.
Honesty: this one goes without saying as well as Integrity.
A final question: Look at the person, listen and then ask if you are comfortable and confident with him or her as a representation of yourself? Because if a customer comes into your place of business and their first impression is a bad impression they will equate that with your name.
