Why both the naturalness of the research setting and the degree of experimental?

control are important dimensions in evaluating research methods

Answer:
..You want the setting to be natural because otherwise subjects will perceive it as an artificial situation, which would give you bad results.

You want lots of experimental control because otherwise there would be too many other variables that could make it very hard if not impossible to interpret the results realistically.
